Lifeline Hellas, Yugoslav royalty host charity event at Grande Bretagne

Christmas festivities remind us to show solidarity with those in need, especially the younger members of society. In the spirit of the season, Lifeline Hellas International held a dinner at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens under the aegis of Prince Alexander and Princess Aikaterini of Yugoslavia in aid of children in need in Serbia and Montenegro. This is the second year in a row that Lifeline and the royal couple have received those invited to this benefit. Participants included Greek companies which booked tables and decorated them according to their own taste. The highlight was when 30 children, all 4-year-olds, from the Geitonas School’s preschool, gathered around the Christmas tree and sang carols. Under the tree were gifts which the guests had brought for orphans and children with special needs in Serbia and Montenegro. And the children themselves were present through the Christmas cards on sale which they themselves had designed. Lifeline, first floor, 10 Poseidonos Ave, Alimos, 174 55. Tel. 210.982.8002.
