World’s ‘invisible children’

“All the Invisible Children,» a film made by seven leading directors from Europe, America, Asia and Africa, is to begin screenings at cinemas in Athens from Thursday, March 16. The official premiere was at The Mall Athens on March 1, under the aegis of Unicef, the Greek Culture Ministry and NGO-Solidarity. The lineup of notables only underlined our responsibility to protect all the invisible children of the world. And on a lighter note comes an invitation to great laughs at the Pierce College theater with the avant-premiere of the remake of Mel Brooks’s «The Producers,» the Tony award-winning musical, starring Matthew Broderick, Uma Thurman and Will Ferrell, to be screened Monday, March 13, at Pierce College, at 6 Gravias Street in Aghia Paraskevi. The invitation comes from John Bailey, president of Pierce College and US Ambassador to Athens Charles Ries, who turns out to be a big movie fan. The film is distributed in Greece by Prooptiki.
