Lila Berisha pays visit to Elpida hostel

«I have always dreamed of coming to Greece, confessed pediatrician Lila Berisha, wife of Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha. «We went up the Acropolis to see the Parthenon, like everyone who visits your beautiful country. But what moved me most was the warm embrace of the Elpida guest house. I haven’t seen anything like it elsewhere; excellent medical care and a family environment for convalescence.» So said Berisha after her visit to the transplant clinic at the Aghia Sofia Hospital and the hostel, where four children from Albania are convalescing. Natasa Karamanlis, wife of Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis, who supports the work of Elpida, joined her on the visit and the two were greeted by Elpida President Marianna Vardinoyianni.
