New books and an exhibition

Kastaniotis publishers and Ianos bookstore present Maria Kotopouli’s book «Horis orario sta oneira» (No Timetable for Dreams) tomorrow at 7 p.m. Music critic Constantinos Karabelas-Sgouras will introduce the book, writer Eleni Ghika will speak, actor Mania Papadimitriou and director Athanassia Karayiannopoulou will read excerpts and pianist Panayiotis Trochopoulos will perform. At the same place Tuesday, Alexis Stamatis will discuss two of his books, «Amerikaniki fuga» (American Fugue), published by Kastaniotis, and «I teleftaia Martha» (The Last Martha), published by Ianos. With him will be translator Yiannis Ioannidis, actor-director Demosthenis Papadopoulos and writer Petros Tatsopoulos. Karystiani will meet the public and sign copies of the book. (155 Iasonas, tel 2210.39292) Children’s rights Forty paintings and the original illustrations from his book «Petra, psalidi, harti: ta diakiomata tou paidiou sta komix» (Stone, Scissors, Paper: Children’s Rights in Comics, published by Metaichmio) comprise Giorgos Botsos’s exhibition which opens tomorrow and runs until April 15.
