TBF getting ready to roll
Preparations for the Thessaloniki Book Fair (TBF), now in its fourth year, are well under way. In the latest step in a vigorous campaign to promote the fair abroad, TBF participated at the Salon du Livre in Paris, which ended on March 27. The effort has paid off handsomely, as the French publishers will have a large stand in Thessaloniki. Among the publishers expected from France this year are Editions du Seuil, Actes Sud, Flammarion, Gallimard, POL, PUF, Presses de la Renaissance, Belles Lettres and Sabine Wespieser. TBF, which runs May 17-20, will see participants from over 30 countries and around 100 leading foreign publishers. The Frankfurt Book Fair will be there too, with a stand of its own.
