A touch of class at Aigli to aid children in need

Decorative objects and solutions coupled with a good cause come together in an outdoor exhibition titled «A Touch of Class: Weddings and More» that takes place today and continues through the weekend at the Aigli complex in the Zappeion gardens. For several Athenian generations, Aigli meant romantic strolls and amorous encounters; today, following its complete renovation, it appears as the most appropriate venue for this kind of event, which is divided into two categories: weddings and outdoor and indoor decors. At Aigli this weekend, look out for unique pieces of jewelry, furniture, crystal, china, art de la table, as well as ideas for wedding gifts, wedding invitations, reception organization and honeymoon travel. Also on display are parasols, tents and various other outdoor items. Various prominent labels will be present at Aigli. Among others, jewelers Folli-Follie, Ilias Lalaounis, Kessaris, Serkos and La Chryssoteque Zolotas; homeware labels such as Kosta Boda, www.home.com/Benroubis, Meli Interiors; light experts Artemide; carpet specialist Mirsini Kontou; gifts and home items from the Tsitouras Collection as well as Liana Vourakis Authentics; antiques from Art Forum; retailers Carouzos, Enny di Monaco, Liana Camba and Vardas. Also going on display will be various items from the stores of the Benaki Museum, the Museum of Cycladic Art and the Museum of Byzantine Art. Furthermore, established interior decorators and designers, who will be available to answer questions on various decoration problems, will also be participating in the event. The entrance fee for the event is set at 5 euros, with all proceeds going to 10 different charity associations which are uniting under the «Together for the Child» fund-raising banner. «Touch of Class» at Zappeion’s Aigli.
