Goethe Institute’s anniversary

The Goethe Institute of Athens, at 14 Omirou St, is celebrating its 50th anniversary by holding a two-day celebration next weekend, May 25 and 26, but which will continue next fall. The event will include concerts, live dance music, cinema, exhibitions, handicrafts for children, a taste of German-language lessons with games and a graffiti sprayer, along with food, drink and good company. It is the first such institute founded in the world and the largest, both in the number of students, examination candidates and cultural activity.
