Experts to examine the legacy of the late 1960s cultural revolution

Organized by the Center of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki in the framework of the exhibition «Revolution I Love You,» currently being presented at the Center, a one-day conference will be staged tomorrow in the northern city. The exhibition includes works by international artists and is inspired by the events of May 1968 in France. Curated by Maja and Reuben Fowkes, it has been organized in collaboration with the Thessaloniki Film Festival and the magazine Historein. Participants include Marilyn Young of New York University, Zeese Papanikolas of the San Francisco Art Institute, Polymeris Voglis of the University of Thessaly, Kostis Kornetis of Brown University and Syrago Tsiara, director of the Center for Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki. Antonis Liakos, professor at the University of Athens, will coordinate the discussion. Another conference on «The Years of Utopia,» organized by Historein, will follow on Thursday through Saturday at the University of Athens. Admission is free. Info: www.cact.gr, tel 2310.546.683.
