Frame shows off its new flavors at Lycabettus hotel

The color is orange, the name is Frame, the address is Dexameni Square on the ground floor of the St George Lycabettus Hotel, with a view of gardens inside and out, palm and pine trees and flowers in the heart of Athens. Frame is a new lounge-bar restaurant with its own garage and a Papandreou whose first name is Alexandros. He is the executive chef who monitors all the fine fare. The interior design, with the most expensive materials ever used in Athens, is by Angelos Angelopoulos. The restaurant has been adopted by Athens’s jeunesse dorée: We saw parents with their offspring, following the example of the owners Marios and Ellen Vassilopoulou with their daughter Tonia. Giorgos Barbalias was chatting with Evangelos Averoff and Miss Komninou – these three are the children respectively of Ilias and Boubou Barbalias, Yiannis and Elena Averoff and Mr Komninos and the first Miss Star Hellas, Daisy Mavraki. Of course the flashbulbs were popping for «Woman of Europe» Irene Papas, dressed in black. As for the color orange – it pervaded everything at the opening from the candles to the ice cubes and the fireworks. Up there on Lycabettus they know the secret of good hospitality, which is something we are already familiar with from the Vassilopoulos family and their beautiful traditional hotel on Andros, the Paradeisos. Among the day’s big losers was OTE, which lost 2.09 percent to 17.78 euros.
