Technis Theater restages success

Following last season’s success, the Technis Theater has decided to once more stage Jordi Galceran Ferrer’s play «The Gronholm Method.» The drama, directed by Diagoras Chronopoulos, reopened at the Technis Theater Basement stage last week and will only run for a month. The play explores the cruel practices used by multinational companies to hire their executives, as four finalists applying for a top position go through their last tests, which border on the unreasonable and have nothing to do with the actual job. Catalan playwright Ferrer combines drama with humor and sadness with ridicule. His clever dialogue creates suspense, with a plot full of reversals leading to an unexpected ending. «The Gronholm Method» has received more than 20 awards and has also been transfered to the big screen, in a 2003 film titled «El Metodo,» adapted by Ferrer himself and starring Eduardo Noriega. The film received two Goya awards, one of which was for the Best Adapted Screenplay. The Technis Theater production stars Giorgos Karamichos, Petros Lagoutis, Christos Sapountzis and Vicky Papadopoulou. It has been translated by Karamichos and Maria Tsatsaroni, with sets and costumes by Giorgos Gavalas. The music is by Stavros Gasparatos. Technis Theater Basement venue, 5 Pesmazoglou, tel 210.322.2760.
