New theater opens its doors
While the venue is impressive overall, the stage itself, though large, is also warm and cozy. The Theatron, Hellenic Cosmos’s new theater, opened its doors recently with «O Viopalaistis stin Stegi» (Worker on the Roof), a new play written by actor Lakis Lazopoulos. The popular Greek comedian takes to the stage – and the roof – to describe the modern odysseys of Greeks, essentially the history of the country and its people from the 1960s to the present. Alongside Lazopoulos stars Chryssa Ropa and a cast of up-and-coming actors. The original music score was composed by Stamatis Kraounakis. Hellenic Cosmos Theatron, 254 Pireos, tel 212.254.0920.
