Seascapes by Panayiotis Tetsis set to go on display on Poros this Saturday

A solo exhibition of paintings by acclaimed artist Panayiotis Tetsis will end the Citronne Gallery’s fourth summer season. The works that will go on display are mostly seascapes inspired by Poros – the island where the gallery is situated – as well as Hydra. The exhibition is titled «Bypassing the Tselevinia,» so named after the small, uninhabited islets that lie between the Saronic islands of Poros and Hydra. According to gallery owner Tatiana Spinari-Pollali, Tetsis’s sea-scapes reflect the artist’s personal interpretation of the sea which has always been present in his life and work. Tetsis was born on Hydra. The exhibition will open on Saturday at the listed building that houses the Citronne Gallery, running to September 20. The gallery is currently hosting an exhibition by Christos Botsoglou, which will end on Wednesday. Citronne Gallery, Poros Beach, tel 22980.22401, www.citronne.com
