Digital Week starts in Gazi

The Technopolis arts complex (100 Pireos, Gazi, tel 210.346.1589) is set to host Athens Digital Week for the second year running. Following last year’s success, the event is once again organized by the City of Athens. Starting today and running to Sunday, the public will have the opportunity to combine entertainment with knowledge and enjoy the achievements and potential that the digital era can offer. The interactive events guarantee that both children and adults can play with technology while at the same time communicating and expressing themselves through it, in a creative and fascinating experience. This year’s festival focuses on the practical application of new technologies and is divided into nine thematic units: gaming, modding, robotics, visual art, digital music, space, open source, telecom and social networking. Apart from the City of Athens, other organizers include the Athens 9.84 radio station and the Technopolis complex. Admission to the events is free.
