Momix returns with magical compilation
They comprise a group of dancers who are also magicians on stage – this is Momix. They are known to defy gravity and also to be the masters of illusion, their greatest instrument. And each time they appear, they manage to stage audiovisual spectacles of great beauty. The company will present «Best of Momix» at the Pallas Theater (5 Voukourestiou, tel 210.321.3100) until Sunday, starting tomorrow. The famous illusionist dance group returns to Greece with a spectacular show full of sensitivity, humor, inventiveness, great skill, inspiration, imagination, challenges and, above all, magic. By defying gravity and the laws of nature, Momix dancers create an original and interactive environment where dance meets circus techniques, acrobatics, pantomime and thespianism. Following its Athens performances, Momix will perform three shows at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall (25th Martiou & Paralia, tel 2310.895.939), December 8 to 10. «Best of Momix,» presented for the first time in Greece, contains highlights of the group’s productions over the years, including «Classic,» «Orbit,» «Opus Cactus,» «Baseball,» «Lunar Sea» and more. As always, the man behind the show is Momix founder and artistic director Moses Pendleton.
