The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring A Hobbit named Frodo embarks on an epic adventure in order to destroy a ring, once thought lost for centuries. As it turns out, it is the One Ring of the Dark Lord Sauron, and Frodo, accompanied by his companions, travels through growing turmoil and dangerous territory to carry the ring to the Cracks of Doom and put an end to the rule of the Dark Lords. Fantasy adventure directed by Peter Jackson, with Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Sean Bean, Cate Blanchett, Ian Holm and Christopher Lee. (Star – 21.00) Seven Years in Tibet Heinrich Harrer, an Austrian mountaineer, leaves his homeland in 1939 to go to the Himalayas. Following a series of events, he and fellow climber Peter Aufschnaiter end up being the only two foreigners in Lhasa at the time of Tibet’s takeover by China. In the Tibetan holy city, Harrer becomes a confidant to the Dalai Lama. Historical drama based on a true story directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud, with Brad Pitt, David Thewlis, Mako and Danny Denzongpa. (Mega – 22.30)
