Aegean Festival | Syros |July 12-24
Over 500 artists from around the world are set to come together for the 11th International Festival of the Aegean, an event celebrating classical music and opera with performances on the Cycladic island of Syros. This year’s festival includes performances of Giuseppe Verdi’s “La Traviata” and Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana.” Performances take place at the Apollo Theater (also known as La Piccola Scala), on Miaouli Square and Saint Nicholas Church in Vaporia.
