Ancient Greek Inventions | Athens | August 1 – January 10

The Herakleidon Museum Annex in central Athens presents “The Amazing Inventions of the Ancient Greeks,” an exhibition showcasing items from the Museum of Ancient Greek Technology founded by Kostas Kotsanas in Katakolo, in the Peloponnese. Going on display are functional models of some of the most extraordinary ancient Greek inventions, including Philo’s “robot-servant” and Aeneas’ hydraulic telegraph. The show opens on August 1 and runs through January 10, 2016. Opening hours: daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
