Translation Slam | Athens | December 9
The Hellenic American Union is hosting a translation slam on December 9. The event is billed as a duel between two translators competing to best embody an author’s voice with the participation of an audience. Taking part in the event are translators Alexis Kalofolias and Niki Prodromidou, who will examine American author Ursula K. Le Guin’s 1973 short story “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas,” moderated by Cleopatra Eleotriviari. The event will be in Greek and starts at 7.30 p.m. Admission is free of charge.
