Franz Lehar’s popular operetta “The Merry Widow” goes on stage at the Athens Concert Hall for a series of eight performances from December 18 to 28. The joint production of the Greek National Opera and the Athens Concert Hall is directed by Vassilis Nikolaidis and features Irini Karaianni as Hanna Glawari and Haris Andrianos as Count Danilo Danilovitsch. The Athens State Orchestra is led by Miltos Logiadis. Also taking part in the production is the Fons Musicalis Choir. Performances start at 8.30 p.m. Prices range from 14 to 50 euros (7.50 euros reduced).
