Japanese Festival | Athens | February 3-7

In association with the Japanese Embassy in Athens and the Japan Foundation, New Star film distributor is putting together the Contemporary Japanese Film Festival. Screenings take place on February 3, 5, 6 and 7 at the Alkyonis New Star Art Cinema in Athens. The event showcases four Japanese films exploring the role of women in contemporary Japanese society: Jokyo Monogatari’s 2012 “Tokyo Losers,” Noriyoshi Sakuma’s 2014 “My Little Nightmare,” Hiroshi Ishikawa’s 2013 “Petal Dance” and Nobuhiro Yamashita’s 2013 “Tamako in Moratorium.” Admission costs 3 euros.
