Skoufa Gallery in Athens presents “Mare Monstrum,” a solo exhibition by Maria Giannakaki. The show opens on March 9 and runs through April 4. Inspired by two monumental works by Theodore Gericault and Eugene Delacroix, the artist explores the despair and hopes of refugees crossing the Aegean Sea. The exhibition is presented under the auspices of UNHCR. Opening hours: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3.30 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. – 3.30 p.m. & 5.30-9 p.m.
