Judith Butler, Maxine Elliot Professor in the Department of Comparative Literature and the Program of Critical Theory at the University of California, Berkeley, delivers a lecture titled “Bodies That Still Matter” on Wednesday, May 11. Butler is active in gender and sexual politics and human rights and anti-war politics. She is the author of “Bodies That Matter: On the Discursive Limits of ‘Sex,’” among other works. The event will be in English with simultaneous translation into Greek. Starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free of charge, with the distribution of admission tickets starting at 5.30 p.m.
