The Benaki Museum is unveiling the latest addition to its already sizable family. The Toy Museum is housed in a late 19th century villa on Athens's southern coast that resembles a fairy-tale castle which was donated to the Benaki Museum by Vera Kouloura. The collection, donated by Maria Argyriadi, comprises toys, books, clothing and all sorts of ephemera associated with childhood from Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. The Toy Museum will have an open day on Sunday, October 22, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will be inaugurated formally on Thursday, October 26. Admission costs 9 euros.
