The Japanese Embassy’s Cultural Center is screening “Fireworks from the Heart,” a 2010 drama by Masahiro Kunimoto about a young man’s quest to take his dying sister to a traditional fireworks festival in the hope this will somehow help her get better. The screening starts at 6.30 p.m. and is in Japanese with English subtitles. Admission is free of charge.
