The Handel Mythology | Athens | June 12
The Il Pomo d’Oro ensemble, with Maxim Emelyanychev at the podium, will perform “The Handel Mythology,” a concert of arias and duets from the composer’s operas “Arianna in Creta,” “Hercules,” “Il Pastor Fido,” “Imeneo,” “Apollo e Dafne” and “Giove in Argo,” at the Herod Atticus Theater on Tuesday, June 12. The ensemble will be joined by soloists Karina Gauvin (soprano), Ann Hallenberg (mezzo-soprano) and Edgar Moreau on cello. The show starts at 9 p.m. and tickets, from www.greekfestival.gr, range from 15 to 60 euros.
