Intense competition is expected for the acquisition of the ports of Igoumenitsa, Iraklio and Patra, which are being privatized, between Greek passenger shipping firms Attica and ANEK and Italy’s Grimaldi Group, which controls Minoan Lines. Also, Thessaloniki Port appears interested in Iraklio.
