Golden Visas turn life-saving
Residential property purchases by Israelis and Arabs are expected to intensify soon in Greece, according to companies active in the field of investment immigration, through the Golden Visa program. The catalyst is the tragic events in Israel, which threaten security in the wider region.
“The residence permit through investment immigration programs has exactly this character and role, that is to allow the immediate movement of investors and their family members in cases like today, where someone needs to leave a war zone as soon as possible, avoiding time-consuming procedures for issuing entry and residence visas in the EU,” says Panos Rozakis, head of Prime Synergy, which is active in the investment immigration market.
The benefits of the Golden Visa program were already visible for a family from Israel, with two young children, who were in Athens in recent days to complete the application process for a residence permit. According to the agency they work with, they decided to settle in an apartment they bought in a southern suburb of Athens. “After the shock of the previous days, they have opted to stay for a while in the house they have bought instead of renting it, at least until they see how things develop in Israel,” says an agency official.
