Single compliance certificate

The documents proving tax and social security clearance will merge into a single certificate from the end of September.

The two necessary documents for taxpayer transactions will become a single certificate which will be issued in express time through the digital portal at Gov.gr. It will be valid for any intended use and will be mandatorily accepted by private and public entities alike. As tax administration sources emphasize, the single certificate will put an end to the suffering of citizens and businesses that need tax and social security clearance for their transactions.

According to the plan, citizens will submit their application on the new digital platform from September. After submission, there will be an automatic check of the data uploaded and then – provided all the criteria are met – the certificate of financial compliance will be issued, with the same conditions that apply today to the issuance of the two clearance documents.

Any individual or corporation may request, through a special platform accessible through the Unified Digital Portal of the Public Administration (gov.gr-EPSP), the issuance of a single certificate of financial compliance. The certificate includes the details of the proof of tax clearance and the proof of social security compliance and is issued in digital format.

The financial awareness certificate is considered valid for any legal use and is compulsorily accepted by all public and private sector bodies, as well as by companies and individuals, the courts of all levels and the prosecution offices of the entire country when it is mandatory by law to present the above evidence of compliance.

For the issuance of the certificate of financial awareness, the platform draws, through interoperability, the necessary data from the tax register information system of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue and the information system of the Electronic National Social Security Agency, with the support of the Interoperability Center of the Ministry of Digital Governance.
