Greek unions have called a 24-hour strike across the public and private sector. Buses and ferries will not operate and the Kifissia-Piraeus electric railway (ISAP) will only operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Journalists and lawyers will also strike for 24 hours.

The US Consulate in Greece will be closed for internal administrative reasons, as is normal on the last Wednesday of every month.
