Greece’s Consumer Price Index down 0.4% in May compared to year earlier

Greece’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in May was 0.4 percent lower than a year earlier, said on Monday the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), which put the annual rate of change of the CPI at 1.4 percent.

Compared with April, the May CPI fell by 0.2 percent.

In the 12-month period from June 2012 to May 2013 compared with the period from June 2011 to May 2012 the annual average rate of change of the CPI was 0.6 percent, said ELSTAT

The corresponding annual average rate of change of the CPI in the previous year (June 2011 to May 2012) was 2.3 percent.
