Final SNFCC plans unveiled

The SNFCC will be built in the beachside area of Faliro and will house the Greek National Opera and National Library.
Construction of the 566-million-euro project will start this year and is expected to be complete by 2015. During its construction, between 1,500 to 2,400 people are expected to be employed each year. ?The architectural target is for the SNFCC to be harmonically included in the surrounding environment and for it to show exemplary environmental sustainability,? SNFCC said in a statement.
The Greek state will take over the operation and management of the cultural center once completed.
