Exports post 55 pct growth in May

Greek exports, such as saffron from crocus flowers, posted a significant increase in May, exceeding the 2-billion-euro level for the first time in 29 months.

Exports totaled 2.02 billion euros this May, up from 1.30 billion euros in May 2010, an increase of 54.9 percent, according to data compiled by the Hellenic Statistical Authority.
