IMF: No financing problems for Greece
The International Monetary Fund sees no financing problems with Greece as long as a review of its loan program is concluded by the end of July, IMF spokesman Gerry Rice said on Thursday.
“There is an ongoing review of the Greek program; the mission that concluded yesterday has made important progress; policy discussions have paused and are expected to resume by the end of the month,” Rice said in an e-mailed statement.
“The priority remains for the Greek authorities to deliver on the program quickly. If the review is concluded by the end of July, as expected, no financing problems will arise because the program is financed till end-July 2014.”
