Greek-UAE cooperation
Greece and the United Arab Emirates signed memorandums of cooperation in various sectors on Wednesday in Athens, in the context of the UAE-Greek Economic Forum at Lagonissi.
The memorandums cover sectors such as investment, tourism, capital markets etc. The Arab state?s Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan (l) said after meeting with his Greek counterpart, Stavros Dimas (r), that «we are here to extend a helping hand to the Greek government.”
Al Nahyan also met with Prime Minister Lucas Papademos and they discussed UAE interest in Greek privatizations and oil and natural gas exploration.
The UAE official called Greece a «sister country» and claimed «we are interested not only in your steps today but also in the future.”
