Toy retailer Jumbo sees profits rise

Jumbo SA, Greece?s biggest toy retailer, posted a 7.1 percent increase in fiscal first-half profit as revenue was boosted by four new store openings.

Net income rose to 57.8 million euros from 53.9 million in the same period a year earlier, according to an e-mailed release from the Athens-based company on Wednesday.

Revenue advanced 1 percent to 293.1 million euros, in line with the company?s target of between zero and 2 percent sales growth for the July 2011 to June 2012 fiscal year, Jumbo said.
