Gains for mid- and small-caps fail to raise index

The majority of stocks posted gains in Tuesday?s bourse session, but losses sustained by a number of blue chips forced the benchmark index to end up in the red.

OTE telecom outperformed, gaining 3.28 percent, while Coca-Cola HBC shed 3.41 percent.

In total, 74 stocks registered gains, 67 posted losses and 16 remained unchanged.

Turnover fared even worse than Monday?s 32 million euros, failing to top 28.5 million on Tuesday.
