Investors remained reserved during Wednesday?s session at the local bourse, which bore a close resemblance to Tuesday?s but with a lower turnover.
The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index ended the day at 726.65 points, adding 0.79 percent to Tuesday?s closing level of 720.98 points. The blue chip FTSE/ATHEX 20 index grew 0.36 percent to end at 282.62 points. However mid-caps headed south for a second consecutive day, slipping 0.08 percent.
Coca-Cola HBC gained 4.48 percent to outperform other blue chips, while Hellenic Postbank declined by 7.64 percent.
In total, 50 stocks registered gains, 63 posted losses and 23 remained unchanged.
Turnover came to a disheartening 25 million euros, down from Tuesday?s 44.6 million.
