Intracom suspends work on Syria Tetra contract

Intracom Holdings SA said it suspended all work related to a 2008 contract to provide the Syrian Wireless Organization with a secure digital radio network known as Tetra.

?The Tetra system has been supplied to support exclusively civil telecommunication services,? Athens-based Intracom said in a bourse filing on Friday.

?Intracom Telecom is not involved in the operation of the system and therefore any other potential utilization of the network is completely out of the control of Intracom Telecom. The company has suspended all relevant works due to the situation in Syria.? [Bloomberg]
