Tourism is stabilizing, says minister

Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefaloyianni said on Thursday the country?s tourism sector has stabilized since the June 17 elections that saw the creation of a coalition government.

Greece is examining airport fees and looking at reducing the value-added tax for the tourism sector to make the industry more competitive, Kefaloyianni said in a Bloomberg Television interview.

The new government will also focus on promoting high-end tourism, Kefaloyianni said. [Bloomberg]
