Berlin says Greece can plug financing gap

Greece could sell government bills in the money market to plug a financing gap next month when sovereign debt matures on August 20, the German Finance Ministry said on Monday.

?There is an idea how it can work that has already worked in the past,? ministry spokeswoman Marianne Kothe told reporters in Berlin, citing Greek bill sales in the money market.

?This is the way that?s being contemplated.?
