Disposable income down 5.5 percent

The disposable income of Greek households was down 5.5 percent in the first trimester of 2012, compared to the same period last year, according to figures released on Friday by ELSTAT, the country?s statistics service.

This came as a result of a 15.6 percent drop in salaries which subsequently resulted in consumption dropping by 6.7 percent.
