Thessaloniki metro works to restart

Thessaloniki?s metro project seems to have had some new life breathed in it, works are restarting after six months of inactivity.

This is thanks to the concession of a holding in construction company AEGEK to the funding banks in the form of a pawn, securing the firm 25 million euros in cash, while the government has passed a regulation increasing the deposit a project contractor can get from 6 percent to 10 percent.
