Greece, Germany sell 1.4 mln EU carbon permits

Germany and Greece sold a total of 1.4 million European Union carbon permits in auctions on Wednesday.

Germany sold 850,000 permits for December at 8.18 euros a metric ton on the European Energy Exchange AG.

Greece sold 500,000 spot permits at 8.13 euros a ton on the Athens Exchange.
