Greece sells 750,000 EU carbon permits
Greece sold 750,000 European Union carbon permits at 5.78 euros a metric ton at auction Wednesday, according to the Athens Exchange.
Bids totaled 2.1 million tons, or 2.8 times the amount on offer, Alexandra Grispou, a spokeswoman for the exchange, said in an e-mailed statement.
The country will not hold any further carbon permit sales this year, Grispou said.
