Casinos are among the year’s losers

Greece’s nine casinos have seen their revenues slump this year to November by 21.7 percent compared with the first 11 months of 2011.

Their revenues amountied to 299.4 million euros in the January-to-November period.

Illegal gambling, mainly through the Internet, and the economic crisis have precipitated a drop in turnover, that has also affected state revenues.
