Industrial production index fell 2.9 pct y-o-y in November

Greece’s industrial production index fell by almost 3 percent in November compared to a year earlier, according to data published by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Wednesday.

“The Production Index in Industry (IPI) in November 2012 compared with November 2011 recorded a decline of 2.9 percent,” ELSTAT said. “In November 2011, the annual rate of change of the IPI was -7.4 percent.”

ELSTAT added that in the 11-month period from January 2012 to November 2012, the average rate of change of the IPI was -3.5 percent. In November 2011, the corresponding average rate of change of the IPI was -7.5 percent.
