Samaras meets with Unilever chief

Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras met with Unilever president Paul Polman on Thursday who reiterated his company’s resolution to continue to expand its 50-year presence in the country.

During the meeting Samaras, Polman and Unilever’s European and Greek chiefs discussed Unilever ‘s plans to move production of 110 goods to Greece.

Polman said that he believed the country was on the right track, despite the difficulties it still faced. “We believe that through innovations that respond to our consumer’s needs, excellent implementation and the continuing efforts of our employees, we can turn the challenges of the Greek economy around into significant growth opportunities for next year,” said Polman.
