ICAP study focuses on women at the helm

One in every five companies in Greece is run by a woman, while 9 percent of the firms with the most profits also have a woman holding the reins, a study by the ICAP Group has shown.

The total sample of 27,314 companies in the ICAP Databank showed that 5,125 enterprises are run by women, which amounts to 18.8 percent.

However the rate grows smaller among major companies, as only 6.1 percent of firms employing over 250 people have a woman director.
