BOG embarks on roadshow in London to lure investors

The Bank of Greece is embarking on an information campaign in major investment firms and banks in London, aiming to highlight the significant progress made in this country over the last couple of years and the new prospects created in the Greek economy after the risk of a default was averted.

With the motto “Greece is turning over a new leaf,” the country’s central bank is starting the implementation of an unprecedented initiative in its history, hoping to bolster investment interest in Greece.

A group of board members, led by BoG Governor Giorgos Provopoulos, will travel this week in the British capital and have a series of meetings to present the developments and the prospects of the Greek economy and banks to top investment companies such as Morgan Stanley, UBS, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs, as well as to major credit institutions such as Citibank, Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse.

The roadshow’s program also includes meetings with executive officials of top international mass media such as the Financial Times newspaper and the Economist magazine.
