Greek gold reserves worth 4.74bln euros, says finance minister

Greece has 4.74 billion euros worth of gold reserves, Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras has revealed.

Responding to a question from Golden Dawn MP, Stournaras said that Greece owned 3.76 million ounces of gold.

He said that half of it was stored at the Bank of Greece and the rest at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Bank of England and in Switzerland.
